How to Install Magnet Wall (MagMagic)
  • SP MagMagic panels - do not install in wetareas with alot of moisture

  • MS polymer adhesive (recommended) for example Liquid Nails Heavy Duty

  • Spirit level

  • Roller or firm press board

  • Joint compound like Gyprock

Wall preparation (critical)

  • Wall must be:

    • Flat

    • Dry

    • Dust-free

  • If painted:

    • Lightly sand (180–240 grit) to de-gloss

    • Wipe clean

⚠️ MagMagic must not be applied to glossy or dirty paint.

Dry-fit the panels

  • Place panels on wall without adhesive

  • Check:

    • Alignment

    • Gaps

    • Panel layout

  • Mark panel outlines lightly in pencil

⚠️ Panels cannot be cut, so layout comes first.

Apply adhesive (correct pattern) adhesive or (screws).

  • Apply adhesive to back of panel, not wall

  • Use:

    • Vertical beads 30–40 mm apart

    • Keep beads away from edges (prevents squeeze-out)

Use the leveller to install evenly.

 Fix panel to wall

  • Press panel firmly into position

  • Slide slightly left/right to wet the adhesive

  • Use:

    • Roller

    • Flat board + body weight

Panel must sit perfectly flat

Hold & cure

Low-tack painter’s tape to keep up while glue is installed

  • Allow to cure:

    • 24 hours minimum

    • 48 hours ideal before finishing

Feather the edges

Apply very thin joint compound plaster at panel edges

  • Do not coat entire panel

  • Sand lightly once dry

⚠️ Thick filler reduces magnetic strength

Wallpaper/paint finish

  • Apply very thin wallpaper as normal (paint preferable as it's thinner)/

  • Avoid:

    • Thick foam wallpaper

    • Heavily textured vinyl
